Summerlin Family Restaurants

Posted by Mark Clawson

I visited a nice family style restaurant in Summerlin yesterday. The RoadRunner Grand Canyon is part of a restaurant chain that includes 4 RoadRunners, Agave and the Vintner Grill.

There is a cowboy motif to this RoadRunner with a fine attention to detail and the warmth of the restaurant is measurable. They have a great lounge featuring colorful high-back chairs and the chandeliers and lighting provide a unique touch. They have a two lane Bowlingo which is great fun for kids and adults; I’ve tried it myself. Here is a post that I did on the RoadRunner Centennial with photos of their Bowlingo.

The patio is a large one with a style of its own. You have an inviting atmosphere with many plants and even fire pits for those cool evenings that we have; when it isn’t summer. You’ll enjoy taking with Julio, the patio bartender, he will keep you happy.

The food is both creative and definitely stirs the taste buds. Chef Matthew Silverman designs the meals with the same care and attention that goes into Vintner Grill and Agave.  RoadRunners also feature only Certified Angus Beef products so again, this isn’t just “bar food” by any stretch of the imagination.

RoadRunner has just rolled out, at all locations, a new promotion featuring $1 Beers and $1 Flatbread pizzas. There are 4 flatbread pizzas to choose from (all are on the menu) and come in a more personal size with this promotion, but still amazing for just a $1! (Flatbreads include Carne Asada (my favorite), BBQ Chicken, Meat Lovers, and Cheese.) In addition to the pizza’s, they have $1 Coors Light “Littlenecks”, which are the 7oz product. This is offered 7 days a week from 4:00 – 6:30 and 10:30 to 2:00 am.

A photo of a couple of pizzas that I enjoyed at the RoadRunner, very good!

Lastly, the weekend Cowboy Breakfasts are a great option. There are fresh takes on cowboy cuisine and of course traditional fare. Breakfast is just offered on the weekends.
