Summerlin Parks – Veterans Memorial Leisure Services Center

Posted by Mark Clawson

I was out exploring the Arbors neighborhood in Summerlin and found a nice community recreation center that is run by the City of Las Vegas. The Veterans Memorial Leisure Services Center is a public facility named Veterans Memorial in tribute to our Veterans.

They have a number of activities and classes available to the public. Most of their programs are youth oriented; you’ll find gymnastics, dance, martial arts and music classes.

The outdoor pool is a good place to cool down and meet new friends. They have swim classes available for everyone; 18 months to adult.

Daily Fees for use of the pool:

Ages 0-3       Free
Ages 4-17       $1
Ages 18-49     $2
Ages 50+        $1.50

Those are great prices and you can get an All Summer Pool Pass:

Individual    $40
Adult 50+   $20
Family         $60   (up to 8 members of the immediate family)

The center and pool are next door to Palo Verde High School. The address is 101 N. Pavilion Center Drive in Summerlin. The phone number is 702-229-1100. Here’s a link to all of the Las Vegas Parks and Facilities.
